Elaine Benton

Elaine Benton, (daughter of Fay Shelter), was born in in London, and grew up in Potters Bar, where she attended the local school.  She came to live in Israel in 1984. She is married with one daughter. Born with Gaucher and diagnosed with Parkinsons disease at age 44, she has recently written a book entitled "Parkinsons, shaken, not stirred" which offers support to other sufferers and caregivers. With public speaking and reaching people around the world in a daily blog, Elaine also brings greater awareness of chronic disease and how to stay cheerful in the face of adversity.
